An Animal Conflict

On a Monday morning in a nice quiet neighborhood with lots of  trees  lived many birds such as robins,  cardinals,  bluejays, and woodpeckers.  Everyone loved their neighborhood, even other animals.  There were three animals who were friends, a dog, a cat, and a woodpecker. Teddy,  the dog, Cookie, the cat, and Wood, the woodpecker.  One day Cookie whined,  “I want to eat something.” Teddy responded  “You’re always complaining.” ‘  No I’m not.”   “Yes you are.”  “No.”   “That’s your opinion.”  Wood flew down from the sky.   She was very nice and a peacemaker.   She stated, “Why are you two arguing? ”  “You two shouldn’t argue with each other.”  “We should act like friends to one an other.”  They started to settle down and were calm once again.  The neighborhood was peaceful again, too.   Monday was over.  The next week Teddy and Cookie had more arguments and those were even worse. The arguments kept getting worse and worse and worse until the fifth week.  Then the arguments were serious.  It head to head combat.  Teddy and Cookie had a big fight, “I’m going to get you!” Teddy yelled, “I’m going to get you!” Cookie declared in a stern voice. Cookie took the first strike, but he missed.  Teddy ferociously growled.  Wood the woodpecker looked in horror and couldn’t believe that her friends were actually fighting.   She flew down again  broke up the fight by yelling “Stop!”  “just please stop!”  She uttered “This is know way to settle a dispute. “We shouldn’t use violence.”   She made them finally  realize to never to use violence ever again.  They never used it ever ever again. They all stayed friends forever.
